Declarer is like a car driver. Beginner has to fix attention to the gear`s changing, accele rator or braking, as well as traffic indicator. Experienced “king of the roads” will do it fully automatic and his attention can be fixed on the traffic. His skill in foreseeing of the situation on the highway it`s a higher level of training.
It is very similar to declarers play. How to reach the level of experienced “bridge table master”? The only solution is to develop the knowledge concerning declarers play to the higher level, enabling the most of typical deals to be cleared almost automatically.

Practical aspect of declarers play.

1. Analysis of  the opening lead in the light of information gained during the bidding.
The speed of opening lead.
- Quick, unhesitating opening lead informs about the lack of alternative or choice.
For instance, automatic opening lead with a king means, that one has a king-queen or doubleton.
I`ll try to explain what conclusions you can draw from the opening lead.

2. Length signals.
Between players interesting in the theory of bridge persists discussion regarding the scale of length signals. Many devotees have the thesis, that defenders have to avoid or keep out of simple mistakes and to make themselves the life easy. That requires the precise information about the length of suits and about location of figures or stoppers. The lovers of precision argue, that only a few declarers pay attention to it and even less of them  believes in defenders discards. The professional pairs select the middle course. The information runs only there, where players expect it, what often leads to misconstruction.

3. Reaction of opponents. Intuition.
Why the cat always lands on four paws? Why we blink our eyes? How do we breathe even asleep? All those activities are driven by automatic reactions, so called reflexes.

4. Camouflage in the play.
Machiavelli said “ People – in general – estimate on the grounds they see, only a few can notice. The French word  ‘camouflage’ means screening, hiding. In my opinion in XXI century it will be one of vital demands in the modern theory of declarers play. Till now the necessity of camouflage was disregarded by bridge players. Groundlessly.
